Fun Fall Frenzy

I realize this is major picture overload but I'm trying to catch up and they are fun pics so how could I not include them. These are some of the fun things we did this last fall.

When the leaves changed we headed up the canyon and took some super cute family pictures. I'm way impressed with how they turned out.

My little guy is stinkin cute!!!

On October 20th we went up north so we could participate in The Night of the Running Dead 5K
We went with Lindsay and Carson and cute Kynlee and met up with my sister in law and her three girls. We spent some time at Hee Haw's Corn Maze. They had a ton of fun activities for the kids, it was totally worth the admission price.

Our next stop was Gardner Village. I LOVE going there in the fall and seeing the witches!

There was a stage set up and fun Halloween music playing. The kids loved dancing on the stage. I didn't think Alex would be brave enough, but we ended up having to drag him away.
Here are the runners before the run. Lindsay and I accidentally dressed alike.
The run was a little disorganized but we all had a good time.
This is the awesome birthday cake Andrew made for me and Lindsay, its really a brownie though.
Carving pumpkins! Alex was kind of a stinker that night but the pumpkins turned out super cute. We don't have any pics from Halloween because the camera was missing that week, but we put Alex in the same tiger costume he wore last year. He loved answering the door and saying goodbye to all the trick or treaters.

Summer Fun

So I am a major slacker but here are a bunch of pics from the summer. My little guy is getting so big and he is so much fun! He is starting to talk more and I keep encouraging hoping to avoid the frustration that comes when he can't make himself understood. Alex has tons of energy and I am working hard to try to keep up with him. I sure love my little family!

My two cute guys!

Grandpa trying to con Alex out of money for his piggy bank. You know, "I'll trade you a shiny pretty quarter for that old wrinkled bill." That kind of conning. Alex somehow ended up with all the money, smart kid.

 Bubbles!!!
Please don't judge me, I have since cleaned out my fridge

Playing in the rain!

Alex loves the aquatic center here in town. There are slides and bumps to slide on and fountains and a lazy river, Alex runs around and could play there for hours and hours. I love it! Lindsay and I have been lap swimming daily. Summer went by way fast but we had tons of fun with family. We played games and picniced and traveled to visit family. Sadly we did not get to camping even once, but Andrew is holding out hope that we can still make it this fall.

God Only Cries for the Living

This is my beautiful, wonderful, talented, loving mother. She passed away last week. I know that she is no longer in pain and that she is with her parents and other family members and is happy. I miss her though, I'm pretty sure I will miss her until I am with her again, that seems like such a long time. I do feel so blessed to have had such a great woman raise me and teach me and be a strong and loving example for me. I just hope I can someday be half as wonderful as her. I miss you mom!

Here some of the words to a Diamond Rio song that my brother shared at the funeral. Thanks Nathan.

God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are left to carry on
And all the angels up in heaven
They're not grieving because they're gone
There's a smile on their faces
'Cause they're in a better place
God only cries for the living
'Cause it's the living that are so far from home

Playing Catch Up

I know I am WAY behind but I had to finally post some of our Easter pictures.

The 4th annual burning of the Christmas Tree. Last Christmas we named our tree Celia the Crooked Pine and she lived with us until June 1st when we finally put the poor girl out of her misery.

Alex LOVED playing in the dirt. Lindsay kept saying that the pictures could not do the filth justice. He especially liked squeezing the juice out of the watermelon pieces into the dirt.

So So Nice!!

See these wonderful flower??? These are from a friend who knew that I was kind of having a rough time. Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?? Thanks Courtney! I love you!!
