Lake Powell

Life has been crazy this summer! At the end of July we packed up all of our stuff and left our tiny apartment and our Wonderful ward and friends in Aurora and made our way to Southern Utah. Lindsay and Carson were kind enough to let us crash with them for a month and half while Andrew studied and studied and studied for the Board Exam. Somehow everything aligned with Andrew's family so that we were able to join them at Lake Powell as soon as Andrew finished his test. The much needed vacation was wonderful! Food, family, games, the shark, the blob, sand castles, swimming and the water slide, all made for a super fun week!

This is the only way I could get Mckenna to take a nap the first day on the house boat. She was so excited about the water. We had to keep a close eye on the little dare-devil the whole week.
This kid was in heaven, playing in the sand is one of his very favorite things in the world.

The slide was a huge hit! Alex wore out the seat of his swim trunks by the end of the week.

 Chillin with baby Clara

 Alex loved the shark!
This is one of my favorite pictures!
Alex got to ride in front and was so happy about it, even when he fell off, he just hurried back up to claim his spot.
I know it is hard to tell but that is my crazy, adventurous, afraid-of-nothing, little girl waving from the back of the shark (yes I was a bit upset with my also-crazy husband for holding her up for the picture).
 Grandma is just so popular.

Jacob won the record for highest blob launch.

I even braved the blob! The launch impact messed up a muscle spasm in my back that I have been having problems with lately, that bummed me out some because it bothered me the rest of the week, but we still had a blast! A huge thank you to Aaron and Lacey and the rest of the family for such a fun week!
